Greetings from Brooklyn

Thank you everyone who has attended my three shows this year so far - to be playing to you has been just as great as it sounds like! For the future there are three dates already booked: April 21 at Club Liberté (Helsinki), April 23 at O'Haras (Tampere) and May 26 at Korjaamo (Helsinki). I'd really love to see you all there! And if you want to see me play before that, I recommend you to come to some random open mic in some random North American city in the east coast. My guitar and I are sending our warmest greetings from Brooklyn, NY!

Mascot ensi tiistaina / Mascot next Tuesday

Lyhyen aikajänteen keikkapäivitys: soitan Helsingin Café Mascotissa ensi tiistaina, 22. helmikuuta! Vapaa pääsy. Aloitan soiton noin yhdeksältä. Ole siellä! Lavalle nousee myös helsinkiläinen No Bonus.

A gig update on a short notice: I will be playing Café Mascot in Helsinki next Tuesday, February 22! The entry is free. I will start playing around 9 pm. Be there! Also No Bonus will play.

Vastavirta, Tampere, 2.3.

My next show will take place at Vastavirta-klubi in Tampere in March 2nd! Also Silent Scream (Helsinki) and The Saturnettes (Tampere) will jump on stage. Everybody warmly welcome!

Live stuff from last year

After Feathers was recorded last winter, I made a three-week trip to Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, just to go see places. During the trip, I played a couple of open mic shows, and this one, at Riptide in San Francisco, was my favourite!

Kun Feathers oli äänitetty viime talvena, matkustin Pohjois-Amerikan länsirannikolla kolme viikkoa, koska halusin nähdä paikkoja. Matkan aikana soitin muutamissa erilaisissa open mic -tilaisuuksissa, ja tämä San Franciscon Riptidessa järjestetty oli niistä suosikkini!

I finally put up my profile on Soundcloud. All the songs featured on Feathers are available for listening there. Some of the songs are available here on my web page too: just click "Songs" on the top of the page, and there you go.

I played the first gig of the year a week ago at Painobaari in Helsinki. Thank you so much everyone who showed up! I had a very good time, you were a wonderful audience to be playing to.

As February will obviously be a gig-free month - unless someone wants to get me play at their venue, which I'm pretty much always up to - I'll spend my time putting up a backup band. The project is well on its way, and the first rehearsal is going to take place next week. The plan is to be playing shows with the band later this year.

Next time I'll be on stage in March, when I will be playing at Vastavirta in Tampere. See you there then, or earlier somewhere!
